When
you need a powerful vacuum source for continuous duty application,
such as high velocity dust collection, machine-side scrap
collection or general housekeeping, the Ross Cook combination
unit is ideal.
It
consists of a multi-stage centrifugal exhauster, filter bag
separator and dirt can, all integrated in one system and mounted
on a common frame. Steel legs are provided for stationary
models and rubber wheels for portable units.
Our
clean and simply designed work horse, the Extended Overhung
Series exhauster, provides the vacuum. Impellers are mounted
on an extended motor shaft, which eliminates the need for
extra bearings and motor couplings.
The
compact unit is light and requires little maintenance. The
multi-stage design and low mass impellers revolving at low
peripheral speeds ensure a quiet operation. Depending on size,
noise levels run as low as 78 dBA, well below safety guidelines.
The
filter bag separator uses both centrifugal action and stocking-type
filter bag action. Properly sized, these separators can remove
99.9% of most materials from the air stream.

From
general housekeeping duties to job specific requirements,
central vacuum and vacuum conveying systems are the most effective
way to clean facilities and convey material, regardless of
size. They can transport and remove fine and sub-micron particulate
like those found in smoke, grinding, buffing and powders,
to large debris-like chips, strips and pellets. Liquids and
moist or wet materials, can also be easily removed and conveyed
using a central vacuum or vacuum conveying system. System
configurations can consists of manually operated hoses and
pickup tools for general housekeeping, source-capture vacuum
hoses connected directly to hand tools or machinery, or a
combination of both. Regardless of how they are used, the
end results mean a cleaner, healthier and more efficient facility.

Centrifugal
multistage blowers and exhausters are a reliable, efficient
and easily maintained method to provide constant pressure
and vacuum at varying airflows. Since each customer and application
is unique, Ross Cook custom designs and manufactures each
machine to ensure specifications are met.
The
Extended Overhung Series are the simplest multi-stage exhauster/blowers
we offer and ideal for most applications. By mounting the
impellers directly on an extended motor shaft, we have eliminated
the need for motor couplings and extra bearings. The light
and compact unit, with only two motor bearings, require very
little maintenance.

Centrifugal

Four Bearing Outboard Series construction is used primarily
for critical and/or demanding applications or where higher
pressure or vacuum is required. The impellers are mounted
on a separate shaft supported at both ends by self-aligning,
angular contact bearings. Bearings are mounted in housings
designed to absorb radial and thrust loads. A flexible coupling
attaches the blow shaft directly to the motor shaft.
